Activision has cancelled an attempt to revive its lapsed Guitar Hero franchise, according to the résumé of a laid-off Vicarious Visions developer.

As spotted by Twitter sleuth Superannuation, the LinkedIn profile of an audio designer at the one-time Guitar Hero studio states that the unannounced project was shut down earlier this month.

"In 2006 I was hired by Neversoft to work on the Guitar Hero franchise as part of the design team," it read.
