EA has pulled iOS franchise spin-off Battlefield: Aftershock from the App Store after the game attracted a flurry of negative user reviews.

As reported by IGN, customers had complained about the game's controls, frequent crashes, terrible lag and difficulties with online matchmaking. Its average rating was 2.5 stars out of 5.

The free app disappeared from the store earlier today, with the publisher subsequently issuing the following statement:
